Operasi Lalang in 1987 which saw the infamous arrest of 106 opposition leaders and social activists. Why they were detained has never been made clear to Malaysians.
In 2001, Keadilan ‘reformasi’ activists were detained for attempting to overthrow the government via militant means and violent demonstrations.Seven years have gone and yet no evidence in support of this assertion has been presented.
Around the same time, members of PAS were also detained for purportedly being militant and allegedly having links to international terrorist networks.To date, no promised-evidence has been produced by the government to Malaysians.
