an onus

Pak Sheikh (a respected lecturer) used to repeat his old phrase, "it is your (student) onus to find out what you do not know".

i couldn't disagree with him. who can? if someone wants to learn, how can he expect to learn if he doesn't go seek for the info in the first place? In a common scenario, many students tend to grow senses of "anti-certain-teachers", particularly teachers who really meant good for the student. Strict, but it's for the student's sake. Unsurprisingly, most students will dislike, if not hate such teachers. Well? Some gutsy students even got the phrase, "Go lodge a complaint!" at the tip of their tongues. students.. students.. *shaking the head*

Some comments took my attention, which were quite laughable. Some students, despite knowing damn sure that they don't work their onus, started blaming those teachers who meant good for the students. Other students who finally realize that the onus lies in their very own hand, started questioning each other, "is this the result of our education system's failure?"

Well? I won't say tat our education system is fool-proof.. yet...

As the old saying says, "Gajah depan mata tak nampak, nyamuk seberang sungai nampak."

Please appreciate what people are doing for us. Look at the bright side, be optimistic. When you started seeing things at the wrong direction, you get shadows, and not sun shine.

Pls spread d newZ

This is how DBKL Klinik kembiri looked ilke. Located in Setapak, it's a place where everyone should make an effort to visit, esp the vet-to-bes. Here u'll get the idea of how severe is the stray cats'n dogs population in Selangor n KL alone. For more info, u can visit my previous post at http://pam-pam.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_pam-pam_archive.html. Here r some pix i took today.

Dogs are kept in cages accordin to the dates they were caught. Poor bitch with 6 shiverin n withering pups, whose yelpin and whining has no one, except their mama, to tend to.

Many of these dogs have collar and license on, which means they had an owner. Owners have few days to claim these cuties before these cuties are given the sleepin-beauty jabs. In just a matter of days...

Glad to see that many of these dogs are lovely adorables which hunger for human love and touch. Sad to know the bleak future lying ahead of them.

Last but not least, please neuter your pets if you could not afford to find their youngs a good home. You're being kind to them, and the unborn animals. Not cruel, definitely.

* neuter = to make the animal sterile by removing the reproductive organs (uterus, testes)

eye-dropping.

I was checkin my mails today, when i saw a mail from SPCA Selangor in my inbox, then somthing attracted me "Dog and Cat's fur in China".

Huh? I couldn't believe what i read. so i clicked on it.. and waited.. and guess? once the page was completely uploaded, i started hearing dogs barking cats meowing.. crashing sounds.. and chinese speaking men talkig and laughing about behind the camera.

My God! How could we allow these to happen?

My friends, please spread the message around - stop wearing fur. whoever's fur they're wearing. It's disgusting to have someone's skin atop of our own skin. yucks!
