In Christ alone my hope is found my comforter, my all in all

music sounds a bit swedish, but the song is just too uplifting, and powerful I can't help but mesmerized and drowned in it.

some comments:

i get so sad by the line, "scorned by the ones he came to save."I mean, he was so perfect... and people were so evil and still are. its so moving

yah, the line stings my heart. how cruel we can be. yet God remains ever loving.he's the God of the impossibles.

the lyrics at 2:52 are some of the best that i've heard!!! it is so powerful... i LOVE it!!1

Beautiful Song, Love your Voices. So Inspirational... Aman , thanks for all you have done for me LORD...you are with me Alway's.

your welcome! (I hope you meant me - otherwise I feel pretty stupid, but any way)To much fafing about these days, men of the bible (and women too) where people of solid faith - they lived lives of true sacrifice. One distinct difference between Christianity and everything else LOVE!Muslims kill for what they believe in.Christians are killed for what they believe in.Greater love hath no one thn this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

Jesus Christ will come again and I hope you are ready. Lean not on your own understanding but by every word of God which nourishes our soul. Heaven and hell are real. Peace be unto you.

how do you put the words on the pictures like that?

damn who sings this she has the most beautiful voice

I simply LOVE this song!Powerful words...When will people start to accept God & see that He's the only one who can guide & protect us all?Sigh...Love it!!!...God bless us everyone...

Yes Christ is the only wayIn Christ alone my hope is foundMy Comforter, my All in AllHere in the love of Christ I standThis song takes u there just powerful. Lord Jesus I love you so much thank you for the blood that was shed, thank you for all that you have done (not because we deserve...but because of your love, mercy & grace) & thank you for what you are going to do, amen. Jesus commands my destiny

It takes a lot to my me cry but this song does it. The next time you listen to it close your eyes and imagine that you are at the cross. Think about what you would see and hear watching Christ die.

Our God is a faithful God!

I went to cell at Unc Row's last week - aunty chris shared her life testimony with us. Her message: God is a faithful God, he keeps his promises, and we need to claim the promises from Him. A praying child will be a blessed child! ;-) amen.

Her message was true but it did not grip on my heart for the past few days until today. This evening I received a suprise letter and suddenly her message rang thrice as loud in my ears - GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES...

Immediately the few bible verses came ringing in my mind..

"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened." Matthew 7:7

"Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:4

"Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33.

"How true it is..." I gasped.

I've heard these verses before, and had believed it, and even experienced the truth behind it many times before, but now with the letter, it's like God reemphasizing himself to me, "Don't you remember, I'm still a faithful God.. A Father who hears his child's prayers.. and keeps his promises till the end..."

I am awakened. I remember dear Lord.. I do. And will remember it forever...

cheese... !!!

MY questions:

1. Why are hooligans and gangsters elected/allowed to be involved in politics? or perhaps, it's vice versa?

2. Are we really living in the all-possible-boleh-land??? That even PARLIAMENT securities can actually function as speaking statues?? (i wish they'll never be Malaysian policemen, such attitude will fail them right away. but then again.. it's boleh-land... so who knows...)

3. Does law and justice still prevail, in the eyes of these so-and-so people? If not, how can they be the leaders of our people?

4. -sigh- will Malaysia ever grow/mature/mellow? or perhaps, do these so-and-so people want Malaysia to grow? oh, why are we even controlled by these so-and-so people?

5. Why are all these "boleh's" seem so biased politically???

KUALA LUMPUR: A group of 22 men claiming to be Selangor Umno Youth members confronted DAP chairman Karpal Singh just outside the Parliament tower block on Thursday.

In the 2.45pm incident, the men surrounded the Bukit Gelugor MP, shouting and demanding that he retract the word “celaka” which he had used in reference to Umno Youth during his debate speech on Wednesday.

Unlike other MPs, Karpal Singh – who is wheelchair-bound – uses the ramp at the tower block to enter the Parliament building.

Four other MPs — Lim Lip Eng (DAP – Segambut), Fong Kui Lun (DAP – Bukit Bintang), Chong Chieng Jen (DAP – Bandar Kuching) and N. Gobalakrishnan (PKR – Padang Serai) — went to Karpal Singh’s aid after being informed by security guards. At the same time, Fong Po Kuan (DAP – Batu Gajah) received a call from Karpal Singh’s aide and went over as well.

By then, Lim’s tie and coat had been pulled by the men in full view of Parliament security.

During the commotion, Fong shouted: “ Where is security ? Where is security?” and a reply was heard: “ We only jaga (look after) inside (Parliament), not outside.”

Soon reporters and others at the Parliament lobby rushed out to the entrance and to the windows to witness the event.

Even after Karpal Singh had entered the Dewan at 3pm, the group of men continued to loiter at the entrance.
At one point, Gobind Singh Deo (DAP – Puchong) came out of the tower block and challenged the men to a “one to one fight”. They moved away after the security guards stepped in.
In the House, Karpal Singh raised the matter immediately.

He said he was blocked by about 15 Umno men who acted like gangsters and who told him to apologise or else he could not go into the House.

“(How) Can such a thing happen in Parliament?” he exclaimed. Karpal Singh said that he called the (in-house) police for help but no one came to his aid except for his party members.
“What protection as a Speaker will you give us?” he asked.

Speaker Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia replied that such threats were not condoned in Parliament and that he would ask the police and the relevant Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department to investigate.

Chong Chieng Jen (DAP – Kuching) asked whether investigations could be carried out immediately since the guards were still at the entrance.

During the debate on Wednesday, Karpal Singh had uttered the word “celaka” against Umno Youth and also pointed the finger at the wing for the “bullets and threatening letter” he had received in Penang.

The confrontation was the latest in a “series of threats” leveled against the outspoken MP, who had riled some quarters for his statement that the Sultan of Perak could be taken to court for his role in the Perak crisis. He later received bullets and a threatening letter at his house in Penang.

I'm an overcomer!!

Hoorah! Today I proclaim tat i'm an overcomer! I'm a champion!!! of........................ ... myself! =)

oh yeah. many of you may think tat i'm just vain.. or maybe.. "dak han mou see zhou" (too free aint got nothing to do). well.. let me explain myself..this was what took place today...

a week ago there was a very sickly cat, whom the owner didn't have the money to pay for the diagnoses, and thus we covered the medical bills, so we did lots of stuffs like sending the poor cat to referral centres, doing x ray, ultrasound, fine needle aspiration.. and finally we got the diagnosis - the answer was stained in the smear from the FNA (fine needle aspiration).

The moment i got the FNA smear in my hand I quickly mounted it (tat means to secure the cells, by covering it permanently with a piece of thin glass on top of it), and placed it in "my space". I truly treasure those slides, coz they were obtained after so much effort, and it was a very rare case.

It happened that today I noticed my slides were missing - and it turned out that the cleaner has washed aways the slides i've kept in my space!!! My heart immediately sank when I realized it - I quickly checked the cells on the slides - all empty. I almost cried. I had wanted to yell and strangle the cleaner.

When did this happen?! Why must she touch my space, when all other spaces are so messed up and dirty?!! WHY?! why why why?!!! Despite the great disappointment within - I remained calm. I didn't know how I did it. I was frustrated, but not angered.

Thoughts of yanking the cleaner, screaming at her hopped through my mind - but they were immediately brushed off. "Mickey (not her real name, haha)!" I called the cleaner.

"Yes, maam," (not the real address, hehe)
"Next time wash only the slides in this bucket. This is "my space". Everything within, do not touch. No cleaning required."
"Yes, maam."
"That's all. Get back to your work."

Was that all? I heard myself questioning myself. I took a deep breath, Yes, that is all. Now that I recalled it, i was really glad that I overcame the great disappointment this evening!

Today, I'm an overcomer! Praise God! =)

How well do you know?

Sometimes being a Christian for a long time, having read the entire bible for once, many will feel that they are considered "matured", someone who has "mellowed" in Christ.

How true is this?
Learning never ends. Mellowing never has an end. Growing in Christ is a life-long agenda. So there is not one time when you think you've already known so much.

I was reading a book about Jacob, one of the main character in the Holy Bible - it mentioned how Jacob had become an outcast, a desolated person, and yet he finds God's love with him, all the time.

"When we know our Lord is present, we experience a delightful sense of peace no matter what our circumstances may be. A quiet serenity and security envelop us; foes, fears, afflictions, and doubts recede. We can forebear in any situation because we know "THe Lord is near". Amen.

I agreed with the above statement. THen I read on...

"G.K. Chesterton was once asked by a reporter what he would say if Jesus were standing beside him."

My thought turned to what I would say - after a few seconds I still do not konw what I'd say. Thus I read on...

"He is," Chesterton replied with calm assurance.

I smacked my forehead - he is! silly me!

Should a Christian ever get involved with hypnosis?

(Source: http://www.gotquestions.org/hypnosis-Christian.html)

Answer: Hypnosis is problematic for a Christian for several reasons:

1) The fruit of the Spirit is self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). As we follow the Spirit’s lead, He will give us the power to better control our own selves. Hypnosis involves the transfer of control away from ourselves to another person.

2) We are to yield ourselves—body, soul, and spirit—to God. Romans 6:12-13 gives us the formula for overcoming sin: “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.” It’s about control—as Christians, we can let sin control us, or we can let God control us. (See also Romans 6:16-23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-12; and James 4:6-7.) The scriptural formula leaves no room for hypnosis (yielding ourselves to a fellow human being).

3) Hypnosis leads to an altered state of consciousness in which the mind is very susceptible to outside suggestion. That susceptibility is what the hypnotist needs in order to modify the behavior of his subject. However, the word “susceptible” should concern us. Scripture says to be watchful and “… self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The hypnotist is not the only one who wants to modify our behavior; Satan also wants to do some modifying, and we should be wary of giving him any opportunity to make his suggestions.

4) Hypnotism is often promoted as a simple way of “refocusing” ourselves and finding the answer within us. As believers in Christ, our focus is to be on our Savior, not on ourselves or anything else (Hebrews 12:2). We know that the answers do not lie within us (Romans 7:18); the solution we need is found in Christ (Romans 8:2).

5) Many of the techniques used in hypnosis are shared by mystical, philosophical, and religious systems, including the occult. The “father of hypnotism,” Franz Anton Mesmer—from whose name we get the word “mesmerize”—was himself a practitioner of the occult. His method of inducing a trance was very similar to the way a medium conducts a séance. Hypnotism, along with yoga and transcendental meditation, has always been linked to spiritual darkness. The newfound respectability of these practices has not changed their underlying nature.

Have you been too busy with yourself?

Ramly had a shock of his life when the doctor diagnosed him with Chronic Kidney Failure. "You have less than a year to live.. unless you get a new kidney.."

Getting a kidney in Malaysia? That's impossible... n tat means.. I"M DYING??!!! Ramly had sleepless nights thinking how he would die, and why would it be him. He had donated lots of stuff to the charity, all kinds - be it religious, NGO, the poor n needy, children. He's been trying to be kind to many people. So why must it be him - why did God chose him to die from Chronic Kidney Failure?!

Why is God so unfair?!

He started to blame God and everyone around him. He complains whether it rains or shines. Greg, a neighbour of his learned of his disease and often brought him out for tea and supper - just to make him feel better, just being friends. All the same, Ramly remained sorrowful and prepared to meet his death.

One day, Greg stopped visiting him. He tried to call Greg, sending Greg sms, but Greg never returned his calls. So Ramly decided to visit Greg this time round - perhaps Greg has grown tired of me... who will want a dying friend, after all?

Gathering his courage, Ramly knocked on Greg's door - nobody answered. The house was empty. Then he saw a small piece of paper stuck onto the door - "We are at Greg's funeral. Please call 012-012012012 for emergencies. Thank you."

Ramly couldn't believe what he just read. He quickly called the number, and sure enough, Greg's daughter's voice was at the other side of the line. Greg had a mild stroke, and have died of secondary pneumonia. It all happened in a span of a week.

Ramly tried hard to recall - over the past one week, what had he done, why had he not known what Greg was undergoing?

Then he remembered - he was still blaming God and people and the weather and time.
He had been too busy with himself.

cute

I was having dinner the other day with this friend of mine, whom we've not met for at least a few years. Well, we've grown. And forgotten loads of things about each other.
One thing about friends gathering is tat you always find the cliches popping around the table like a pingpong ball, "Hi, long time no see...." or "What do you do?" or "Where you're working now..." or "You're prettier now..." or.. "Where you're studying... "
or if topics run out.... "Are you married?" .. " How's your dad n mom?".. "How's your grand ma grand pa?"
Well.. these are things we know, and if you go for a gathering with long-lost friends, always be prepared for such casual interviews. But to my amaze, this time tis friend of mine he did it in a very different way. Well, he did use the cliche, "What do you do?"
But the facial expression which he gave, and his body language - well it gave me the impression tat he's really interested to know, oh, who cares if he'll forget it later or not, but he made it as though he's really gonna remember it. And the way he asked, it's as if he really cared!
So this kinda changed the mundane scene of "interviewings".. with a bit of jokes here n there... the dinner was fun! Though everybody used the same-old-cliches. ;-)
My point - cliche is not a problem. But the facial and body languages make a whole lot of differences. *wink.

What our "strokes" reveal about us

I recently heard a pastor give a very meaningful illustration - taken from Chinese Kung Fu comics - of what it means to be Christlike. In these stories, the hero and his opponent usually engage in a duel, and in only a few kung fu strokes (as depicted in the comics), the reader can easily identify which martial arts school each character is from. not only that, but as the story unfolds, the skills of each hero reflect on whether or not the master who taught him was skillful.

The pastor then asked whether people would be able to identify us as followers of Jesus Christ when we make a few "strokes". He explained that the "strokes" we make could be in the manner we speak, in how we conduct our business affairs, in how we relate to our family members, or in how we conduct ourselves in public. I wonder, do our "strokes" identify us as disciples of Christ, or do they bring dishonour to His name?

Jesus gave His disciples this commandment:"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:34-35)

The skill we ought to display is in the way we show love to one another. Our behaviour, speech, and attitude will either reflect love, care and concern or bitterness and selfishness. May we as followers of Christ be more Christlike in the way we love. This happnes when we allow God's Word to transform our lives.

Angry group protests at Hee’s centre

my little point of view:

In the general election March 10 2008, most Perak voters voted according to the parties they represent - not the candidate. To be fair, the wisest decision would be a by election.

A deliberate appointment of a new state government by force, and illegal removal of Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Nizar Jamaluddin by Sultan Azlan Shah (pursuant to Article 16 (6) of the state constitution, was clearly ultra vires the provision of that article) reveals the real political mission in Malaysia - rivalry above people's welfare.

Are we a still a democratic nation?

YOU DECIDE.

IPOH: News of Jelapang assemblyman Hee Yit Foong quitting the DAP to become an Independent hs turned her into a target of harassment by Pakatan Rakyat supporters.

Around noon, a handful of DAP members and supporters turned up at Hee’s service centre along Jalan Simpang to put up a banner that reads: “Betrayer of Jelapang voters, Betrayer of Perak people” in several languages. The group left at about 12.30pm.

Meanwhile, there were rumours at about 4pm that Hee’s house had been broken into and that red paint had been splashed across her walls.

A check on the residence, however, showed that the double-storey terrace house was intact with the doors and windows closed.

Reflections

There were manytimes when somebody fanned the charcoals underneath my blood and kept it boiling and at the very moment I got really disappointed, disgusted, angered, frustrated, and at the same time, I felt tat i was powerless. It was my blood. Why is it boiling without my control?

Anger is one thing which everyone experiences, whether or not you're someone so-holy, or even a 3-year old child. Everyone gets angry once in a while. Sometimes your anger is right, sometimes.. it's just wrong to be angry in the first place.

Whatever things that has taken place, tat have taken your smile away at that very point of your life, is something which needed to be fixed. If you don't fix it, you'll never find peace in it.

There was this person whom I was very disappointed at - I knew him, he's considered a well-to-do person, and things happened.. and I got very angry and disappointed - to a point that I wish I'll not see him again. If I do see him, I'll pretend that I do not see him. Well.. tat's not right. But tat was the degree of anger I felt at that time.

Well.. we live in a small world, and we some time later, we met again.

I know that making peace is a part of everyone's job - so I took the first move, to talk to him and eventually we talked about the mishap which took place between us. Well, it was comforting, to udnerstand one another better, instead of leaving the anger and rage deepen itself.

I finally had truce with him. We're still friends. ;-)

My point: if you're angry or disappointed with someone, don't just let the ugly feeling dwell and wallow in you. Instead, take control - FIX IT.
