“The e-mail looked genuine and I was told to change my bank account password for safety reasons and to avoid being cheated by cyber frauds,” said the 30-year-old.
Yong said he did not suspect anything amiss until he received an SMS from the bank, informing him that a total of RM4,935 had been transferred out of his account.
When contacted, the bank said its policy did not require account holders to change their personal information via e-mail.
Yong made a police report at the Sea Park police station in Petaling Jaya the same day.

mortgage reduction
The key element to this repayment option is the use of the simple concept of paying an extra monthly payment amount over a period of time each year. The more often an extra payment can be made will hasten the mortgage reduction even more. However, to successfully reduce the number of months that it takes to repay the home loan in full, a structured repayment schedule will keep the borrower on track. There are a growing number of mortgage marketers who have established a new business service by offering to assist borrowers by tracking their mortgage reductions repayments and auditing them, as well, to assure that the normal and extra payments are being properly applied to the loan. Their services vary somewhat, and some purport to have no fees while others have minimal fees.
As a borrower begins the process to accelerate their account balance payoff, the initial details of the mortgage are needed to establish a schedule of payments from number one through the final payment. This schedule includes the extra payment set at constant intervals throughout the loan period resulting in the mortgage reduction occurring in a significantly less number of months than the original loan. One example of a 30-year mortgage that is rescheduled reveals that one extra payment made every six months divided into three payments over the month (one normal, two half amounts) results in the loan being paid off in 17.7 years.
The interest rate, the monthly payment, the original loan amount, and the scheduled number of extra payments per year are the variables for these accelerated refinance agreements. The amount of income the borrower can spare to apply to mortgage reductions will determine the number of extra payments he or she can afford. It takes wise and determined borrowers to stick to accelerated repayment plans that will effectively get them out of debt much more quickly than those who let the extras payments slide unpaid when they have other purposes to use the money for.
Biblical advice that will motivate borrowers to stay the course and complete scheduled mortgage reductions can be drawn from Paul's encouragement to not be weary in well-doing: "for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not" (Galatians 6:9). To reap the benefits, borrowers must look forward to the reaping so they will faint not.

Teresa Kok's Warning Molotov
The police should investigate and find out who's the person behind this. To find the writer isn't hard - esp when he's HAND-WRITTEN it. Smart guy. I've watched CSI, hong kong investigation movies.. and this sort of case is a bottom (simplest) one.
1. get the thumbprints.
2. it's possible to trace individuals through their hand writings.
3. thru the language and it's accent- they can narrow down their search.
btw.. possibly there are thumbprints on the bottles too.
Catch the culprits! Then catch the person WHO INSTRUCTED THEM TO DO IT.

Ops Katak : Kickdefella Calls All Malaysian To Remain Positive
... More than a month ago, I have called upon my fellow Malaysia to send the signal of a Nation In Distress to each and every Malaysian. I have received strong supports from many whom I have never met before. My fellow countrymen, we are indeed is still a Nation In Distress.
Ops Katak is a product of a weak leadership who try to continue its grip in power while they realise it is too slippery to do so. This is the Prime Minister’s last weapon to remain in the premiership for at least till mid 2010.
Today, I wish to call upon all Barisan Nasional’s component parties to leave UMNO. Ops Katak has proven the racist attitude of UMNO leadership. Staying close with UMNO will mean only one thing, to support the usage of racial sensitivities by Abdullah’s leadership in hope to remain in power.
Ops Katak itself, is racist. While Ahmad Ismail is enjoying the warm night clothed with his silk blanket in the chilly Malaysian morning, the person whom reported his racist remarks is in an unknown location under unknown condition to us....
...The ultimate task of this new government is to do a thorough reform in the manner the government has been running this country. A complete reform in the whole democratic process, which includes the reform in the electoral roles and the election system, itself.
After this immediate reforms has taken place, I know, the new government, which are form through the what popularly known as back-door, will dissolve the Parliament for a snap election and so the people, for the first-time since long ago, can cast their vote without fear or favour, in a totally free election. If we dream of a real legitimate government formed from a legitimate mandate through a clean election, then dream no more.
To those who question the legitimacy and moral of forming the government through back-door, I would love for them to think, how much different it is from winning many seats in the election via back-door through the controversial postal-votes and phantom votes in election devastated by vote buying.
If we want to be morally correct, we than have to take the action of removing all the avenues of doubt.
My fellow Malaysian,
This country is indeed still in distress, politically and economically. Yet, I beg all of you, please let us not tarnish this beautiful Ramadan with violent actions. Let us just do this changes via a whisper. Let us not shout for change but let us beg for one.
If we need to go out there, let us do it for one sole purpose, to help to show the road for all the BN component parties, and to lend our hand to lead them into the new political landscape.
It is now within our reach.

Seputeh MP Teresa Kok’s full statement
Seputeh MP Teresa Kok’s full statement
My ISA detention is without any legal or moral basis. It is a clear abuse of detention without trial.
I have been released after being detained in solitary confinement in a 6ft by 8ft holding cell for seven days under the Internal Security Act. I was informed by the police that they detained me under Section 73(1) of Internal Security Act 1960, which means I have incited racial and religious tension and conflict.
After being detained for seven days under the guise of so-called investigations, the police failed to produce any evidence or proof of me being involved in the activities of causing racial and religious tension.
They were only able to ask me few questions based entirely on the false and malicious article written by Zaini Hassan under the topic “Azan, jawi, JAIS, Uitm dan ba-alif-ba-ya” that was published in Utusan Malaysia on Sept 10, 2008.
The three main questions that the investigation officers asked me were:
1) Whether I had mobilised a group of residents at Bandar Kinrara to present a petition to oppose to the azan at the Bandar Kinrara mosque;
2) Whether I had made a statement that 30% of the Selangor Islamic Department (JAIS) allocation is to be given to other non-Islam religious bodies; and
3) Whether I had opposed the Jawi wording in road signages in Kuala Lumpur.
I denied the first two accusations as I did not do any such things as accused. I also told them that the issue of opposing Jawi road signages in Kuala Lumpur was done in January/ February 2008 at the request and following the pressure of resident associations. The resident associations, particularly in Taman Seputeh, were most unhappy because many of the road signages were changed arbitrarily by DBKL a few months before and changed again soon after this time with Jawi wordings. They were strongly opposed to this kind of wastage of public funds by DBKL.
I was quite surprised that there were no other questions posed to me besides these few main questions.
The Internal Security Act is meant to detain people who threaten national security. The three issues stated above have nothing to do with national security. If the police wanted to carry out investigations on me, they can always ask me to give statements in any police station and there was absolutely no need to detain me under the ISA for seven days. This is a phenomenal abuse of the power of police under the ISA.
Besides, it is nonsensical for the police to detain me under the ISA merely based on the unsubstantiated article written by an irresponsible columnist in Utusan Malaysia. How can they regard that article as the gospel truth without investigating the writer in the first place? How can Utusan Malaysia publish it without verifying the facts?
I wish to ask the police whether they have called Zaini Hassan and Utusan Malaysia’s editors for questioning before and after my detention.
I know that the imam of Bandar Kinrara mosque has publicly denied that I got involved in the Puchong residents petition against the azan of his mosque on Sept 13. I am also quite surprised to read in the New Straits Times dated Sept 19 that the official of the Bandar Kinrara mosque was called by the Dang Wangi police for statement recording only yesterday afternoon. Why did the police do it so late, one week after I was arrested? Why didn’t they check their facts first before they arrested me and put me behind bars?
I have been made scapegoat in the internal squabbles of Umno.
I see my detention as a ploy by Umno to try to cover up the embarrassment and the outrage of the racist statements made by Ahmad Ismail in Penang. I wonder why did they choose an innocent person like me as I have never made any racist statements or racist speeches in the past?
I lodged a police report on Sept 17 against Utusan Malaysia, Zaini Hassan and Dr Khir Toyo for criminal defamation. I would therefore urge the police to investigate Utusan Malaysia’s editors, those racist bloggers and Dr Khir Toyo under the Penal Code.
As I have mentioned in my previous lawyer’s visit, I will sue Utusan Malaysia, Zaini Hassan and Dr Khir Toyo. I have also instructed my lawyers to sue the Malaysian government for my unlawful arrest and detention.
Raja Petra should be released.
As I am free from ISA detention today, I also call for the release of Raja Petra, the Hindraf Five and all other 60 over detainees under the draconian ISA.
I would also like to thank all politicians in the ruling parties as well as in the Pakatan Rakyat, NGOs, churches and all social organisations who have campaigned and prayed for my release.

Teresa Kok released from ISA detention (full update)
Her father Kok Kim Tong and mother Poh Seh Kwon were at the Jalan Travers police station here when she was released.
“I am happy that I have been released and I’m okay,” she told reporters gathered at the police station.
“I do not know why I was released today, just as I do not know why I was detained,” she added.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said that Kok had been released at 1.30pm after investigations showed there was no reason to detain her any further.
"She was released unconditionally," he added.
(How professional! They're implicating that ISA = no reason to arrest/detain/release. It has become the executer of a few totalitarians - either certain politicians or the police.)

Good Morning Malaysia
Found this article in a blog, authored by Patrick Teoh (if you remembered who).
--
Asked why the police did not just ask Tan to come in for questioning instead of arresting her, Syed Hamid said it was always difficult when it came to the police when dealing with reporters...
..............Syed Hamid Albar as quoted in The Star.
Then he said...
“All of us are subject to the law. When the police feel it is best to bring the person in under ISA, they do so. I think the most important thing is not to exercise unfairness. When they got what they wanted and found they had no reason to hold her and that she’s not a security threat and not disturbing public order, they released her immediately......"
But...but...but I thought you said her life was in danger and that's why the police arrested her. To protect her. Right? Then she suddenly returned to being a security threat ah? So after 16 hours she is no more threat ah? Wah! Damn terror man! If we got some sort of system going on in there with the mata-mata flers then I say we chuck all the suspected Ah Longs, rapists, Mat Rempits into police ISA lock-up and release them after 16 hours. Then they all no more threats to society. Everybody happy. Kao tim! Right? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha......

Don’t use ISA, says Zaid
Do not twist and turn and bend the facts - it's utterly downgrading ( you know who i'm talking abt).
KOTA BARU: De facto Law Minister Datuk Zaid Ibrahim (pic) stuck his neck out against the Government by condemning the use of the Internal Security Act (ISA) against civilians.
He urged the Government to revert to the original purpose of the law, which was to curb communism.
“It is time for the Government to go back to the original spirit of the ISA and it should only be used on armed terrorists or those out to topple the Government by force.
“I am not calling for a repeal of the ISA but for it to be used only when there is a real threat to national security and not on civilians,” he told a press conference at his home in Pasir Hor here yesterday....
...By using the ISA randomly, Zaid said, the Government was sending a message that it did not trust the capabilities of its own enforcement agencies such as the police in maintaining peace.
“There were ample punitive law to act against lawbreakers without having to invoke the ISA,” Zaid said.
“In this latest episode of ISA, we (the Government) have generated an impression of selective prosecution since no action was taken against the person who allegedly uttered seditious remarks. We are saying that we are only acting against those who are disloyal to us.”
He said he was glad that Tan was released but was concerned over the continued detention of the other two.

'Order to arrest did not come from me' - the star
He said the action was taken by the police themselves under Section 73(1) based on their assessment of the current situation as they had “strong and good reason” to believe that conflict could happen and public order could be jeopardised.
“Under this action, the police need not refer to me. It’s their discretion and their assessment of what happened. There has been no malice on their part,” he said Saturday at a press conference at Bukit Aman here...
On Friday, the police arrested Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Seputeh MP and Kinrara assemblyman Teresa Kok and Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng under the ISA.
Tan was released Saturday afternoon.
Syed Hamid said the police had detained Tan because they had received information that her life was being threatened and there might be possible injury to her and the police wanted to get to the bottom of it. (oh, really???)
Syed Hamid said the police thought it was best to get first-hand information from Tan and thus took her in under the ISA and released her a day later after they got the necessary information and found no reason to hold her.
“I don’t think we are being unfair or that we mistreated her in any way. We acted professionally and after a day released her,” he said, when asked if Tan had posed a security threat in any way.
Asked why the police did not just ask Tan to come in for questioning instead of arresting her, Syed Hamid said it was always difficult when it came to the police when dealing with reporters.
“All of us are subject to the law. When the police feel it is best to bring the person in under ISA, they do so. I think the most important thing is not to exercise unfairness... (does this mean that the police can at anytime arrest someone under ISA for no reason, and then release them professionally when they indeed found no reason?? Great, wow...)
On Raja Petra, he said, the blogger had been given numerous warnings as well as been charged but he continued to create tension.
As for Kok, he said, she had supposedly questioned the sensitive issues such as the azan (call for prayers for Muslims) to be stopped and that could cause ill will and disharmony.
On why Ahmad was not detained for making racist comments, he explained that Umno had already punished him by suspending him for three years and stripping him from the party post while the police was also still investigating a sedition report against him. (err.. why not use ISA? you haven't given us any answer.. this person did not just create imminent disharmony, he HAVE ALREADY created one.. weird weird..)
When asked why action was not taken against other politicians like Datuk Seri Khir Toyo for racist remarks made, he said people should stop looking at things from an ethnic angle and start thinking as Malaysians. (oh.. so when it's about certain big ppl, we must start to think as Malaysians.. by the way, wat is your definition of "thinking as Malaysians?")
In a way, I'm sorry for him too.. he can't really find any reason to defend himself...

Some jokes to share
1. Pak Lah, Najib, Shahrizat and Anwar were sitting in a KTM trainheading up to Penang for campaigning. Near Ipoh, the train goesthrough a tunnel and it gets completely dark.
Suddenly there is a kissing sound and then a slap!
The train comes out of the tunnel. Shahrizat and Pak Lah are sittingthere looking perplexed.Najib is bent over holding his face, which is red from an apparent slap. All of them remain diplomatic and nobody says anything.
Pak Lah is thinking: "These guys are all crazy after Shahrizat. Najibmust have tried to kiss her in the tunnel. Very proper that sheslapped him."
Shahrizat is thinking: "Najib must have moved to kiss me, but kissedPak Lah instead and got slapped."
Najib is thinking: "Damn it, Pak Lah must have tried to kissShahrizat, she thought it was me and slapped me instead."
Anwar is thinking: "If this train goes through another tunnel, I couldmake another kissing sound and slap Najib again."

MCA shocked by arrest of reporter and not perpetrator
PETALING JAYA: The MCA has expressed shock that former Bukit Bendera Umno division chairman Datuk Ahmad Ismail, who made racist remarks has not been taken to task but reporter Tan Hoon Cheng, who wrote about the incident, has been arrested instead.
“The perpetrator who vowed to conduct a nationwide roadshow on his remarks without any remorse is still at large,” MCA vice-president Datuk Ong Tee Keat said in a statement yesterday.
He said anybody in his right mind (the fact reveals that the arrestors do not have this type of "right mind". It is a downright, utterly disappointing fact that reveals the status of the mind of those in the authority.) would certainly be stunned by such an arrest targeted at the reporter and not the perpetrator.
MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Fong Chan Onn said he disagreed with the use of the ISA on Tan.
“As a reporter, Tan was only carrying out duties assigned to her. Her story had gone through the due editorial process before it was printed,” he said.
Information Minister Datuk Ahmad Shabery Cheek said the arrest of Raja Petra Kamaruddin was judicious because he ridiculed Islam in his postings which could spark fury among Muslims.
Gerakan president Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, meanwhile, urged the Government to bring Raja Petra to trial in court under existing laws.
“This is consistent with Gerakan’s stand that the ISA should be reviewed, if not repealed,” Dr Koh said in a statement.
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim condemned Raja Petra’s arrest and called for his immediate release.
“Raja Petra should be given access to proper legal counsel, and his wife and children should not be denied an opportunity to visit him while he is held captive,” he said in a statement.
DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang called for Raja Petra’s release as there was no justification for his detention. He said Raja Petra should be charged in court if he had infringed the law, and not held in detention without trial.

May 13? malaysia.. malaysia.. when will the "people" learn?
"Ask the Malays in the opposition to come out in defence of their non-Malay brothers and sisters and warn the Umno Malays, in no uncertain terms, that they take to the streets at the risk of facing fellow Malays from the opposition who will defend their non-Malay brethren to the last drop of their blood." - Raja Petra Kamaruddin
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Malaysia Today
20 September 1998 was the day Malaysia saw its biggest demonstration in history. That was also the day Anwar Ibrahim was arrested by a SWAT team with faces hidden under balaclavas and armed to the teeth. It was not until a few days later that the world discovered Anwar had been beaten up by no less than Malaysia’s chief of police and left unconscious on the floor of his cell until the following morning -- where an alarmed police officer found him exactly where he had been left the night before, still unconscious.
Anwar spent seven months in jail without bail while he faced trial on various charges of abuse of power and sexual misconduct. The reason they denied him bail was because he was a ‘threat to national security’, an allegation that had nothing to do with the charges he was facing. How Anwar can be charged for one offence and then denied bail for reasons that had no relation to the charge is probably something law students will be arguing about until the end of time. Only in Malaysia can the courts make up the rules as they go along and move the goalposts halfway through the game whenever they feel they are losing the plot.
The abuse of power charge Anwar faced was under Ordinance 22. That is an outdated law that had been repealed and had been replaced by new laws under the Anti-Corruption Act. Ordinances are laws introduced before Merdeka and Acts are laws introduced by Parliament after Merdeka. But somehow someone forgot to sign the papers so officially the law still existed. So they chose to charge Anwar under that law that had been unofficially repealed but officially was still valid since they forgot to sign the papers repealing that law.
Anwar’s lawyers, of course, protested and argued that while the law had not quite been repealed due to an oversight, nevertheless that law can be considered repealed since Parliament had repealed it and it should not have been used against Anwar. The court, however, was of the opinion that it is up to the prosecutor what laws they would like to use against Anwar and since the old Ordinance had somehow been mistakenly ‘retained’, then there is nothing wrong in using that law against Anwar.
In other words, since someone forgot to sign the papers to repeal the law that Parliament had repealed, then there is nothing wrong in still using this law. As long as Anwar is charged before the date the papers are signed then the charge is valid, even if the papers are signed the very next day and that law no longer exists during the course of the trial.
Anwar was found guilty and sentenced on 14 April 1999. In the meantime, he was forced to stay in jail since 20 September 1998, a period of seven months. Anwar was then sentenced to six years jail but the court refused to consider the seven months he had spent in jail without bail. The court decreed that his sentence would commence from 14 April 1999 and not 20 September 1998, as should have been the case.
Normally, your sentence starts from the day you are jailed, or what they would call the remand period. There have been many cases where detainees spend two or three years in jail because they can’t afford to pay the bail and when they are finally sentenced they walk out the day of sentencing because the sentence is shorter than the period of detention or remand. In Anwar’s case, the seven months he was in jail was totally ignored, so his jail sentence was not really six years but six years and seven months.
Since Malaysia does not, at least then, have a parole system, you are allowed a one-third remission on your sentence. This means Anwar would have served his sentence by midnight of 20 September 2002. But they refused to release him on 20 September 2002. Instead, Anwar only saw freedom on 2 September 2004, almost two years longer than what he should have spent in jail.
Yes, it has been a long ten years for Anwar. He has endured more than what rapists, bank robbers, extortionists, kidnappers, pimps, drug pushers, loan sharks, currency forgers, and other hardcore criminals have had to endure. Even murderers have been treated better and at times even allowed bail, even though according to the law murderers are not allowed bail.
Is Anwar about to finally enjoy the fruits of his ‘hard labour’? Has what he has gone through this last decade been worth it? We have only a few days more to see the answer to this question.
Anwar already has 34 Barisan Nasional Members of Parliament ‘in the bag’. The government knows this so they have sent these Members of Parliament to Taiwan for a ‘study tour’. They are supposed to all go study agriculture but they have taken their golf bags with them. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know what they are going to do in Taiwan.
While in Taiwan, the government will work on these Members of Parliament to try to persuade them to remain in Barisan Nasional and to not cross over to the opposition. The government knows that these Members of Parliament have already signed their letters and that these letters are now with Anwar. All Anwar needs to do is to present these letters to His Majesty the Agong to prove to the Agong that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi no longer commands the majority confidence in Parliament. So now they are also planning to send the Agong to Saudi Arabia to perform his Umrah. With the Agong out of the way, Anwar will not be able to present these letters to His Majesty.
Umno says there is no way Anwar can form the government on 16 September 2008, which is Malaysia Day. Never mind, they will all come home on 20 September 2008. If Anwar misses the 16 September 2008 deadline because the Members of Parliament and the Agong have all been sent away, there is still 20 September 2008. On 20 September 2008, everyone, the Agong included, will be home to see the new government being formed.
In fact, 20 September 2008 may be a better day than 16 September 2008. 20 September is Reformasi Day. 20 September is the day, in 1998, when the Reformasi Movement was born. 20 September was the day they arrested Anwar and kept him in jail for six years. 20 September was the day Malaysians decided enough is enough and a change is necessary. 20 September was the day that saw the beginning of the end for Umno and Barisan Nasional. So what more apt day to choose to form the new government than on 20 September 2008, Reformasi Day?
Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has been persuaded to rejoin Umno. Tun will rejoin Umno and will support Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah in his bid to challenge Abdullah Badawi for the Umno Presidency. Umno is worried. They are worried that Malay political power will soon fall into the hands of the non-Malays. So they want the Malays to unite under a new Umno leadership so that the Malays can retain political power and the non-Malays will fail in their bid to wrest power from the Malays.
Khir Toyo has warned that if Abdullah Badawi does not resign and hand over power to the new leadership, then expect another May 13. The 13 Umno Penang divisions, Abdullah Badawi’s home state, have warned the non-Malays not to ‘push’ the Malays. If they do then they do so at their own peril, warns the 13 Umno Penang divisions.
Umno wants Parti Gerakan to be sacked from Barisan Nasional. There is no need to sack Gerakan. Gerakan has already decided to leave Barisan Nasional anyway. What they don’t know yet is whether they will leave Barisan Nasional and remain an independent ‘third force’ or whether they will join Pakatan Rakyat in the opposition coalition.
MCA is also thinking seriously whether it still has a future in Barisan Nasional. They have thus far ‘severed ties’ with the Umno Bukit Bendera division chief. That is neither here nor there and an extremely weak attempt to demonstrate strength. MCA should severe ties with Umo Penang, like what Gerakan did, and not with just an individual who, after all, speaks not in his personal capacity but on behalf of Umno Penang, Abdullah Badawi’s home state.
Of late there has been much talk of May 13. Umno is playing this issue to the hilt. This is, of course, meant to frighten the non-Malay Members of Parliament into remaining in Barisan Nasional and not leave to join Pakatan Rakyat, a shotgun wedding of sorts. Will this frighten the non-Malays? Will this force them to remain in Barisan Nasional? Or will this, in fact, have the reverse affect and just convince the non-Malays that there is even more reason to leave Barisan Nasional and join Pakatan Rakyat.
If Umno wants to trigger another ‘May 13’ will they have the numbers? Will the military support another ‘May 13’ like it did in 1969? The scenario in 1969 was very different from the scenario today and, as the Malays would say, “Takkan pisang berbuah dua kali”. In English this could probably translate to ‘lightning does not strike twice in the same place’.
Umno has just come out with a new ruling for its branch meetings. The branches are required to have a quorum of 25% of its registered members to convene a meeting. Most branches have not been able to hold their meetings because they can’t get this quorum of 25%. That is all that is required, 25% of its registered members, but it can’t even get that.
And why is this? Is it because the members are not interested in the AGM? Not really. This year is election year and everyone is very interested. In fact, many branch AGMs have ended in fisticuffs, chair throwing and acid attacks because of the intense fighting at these meetings. They are more than interested. They are concerned. But they can’t fulfil this 25% of registered members to make up a quorum because they just don’t have the members. The so-called registered members do not exist. Umno does not have the three million members it claims to have. It does not even have one million members. That is the reality and that is why they can’t even fulfil the 25% members quorum requirement.
In 1969, when you talk about the opposition, that would mean the non-Malays, and when you talk about the ruling party, that would mean the Malays. But that was 40 years ago. 40 years ago when you divide the country politically you invariably also divide the country racially. So, 40 years ago, it was very easy to divide the country by race when you divide the country by its politics.
Today, there are more Malays in the opposition than there are in the ruling party. Umno garnered only 51% of the Malay votes on 8 March 2008. In the Permatang Pauh by-election, 70% of the voters were Malays. About 78% of the non-Malay voters, who represent 30% of the total voters, voted for Anwar. But Anwar won two out of three votes or 66.6%. This means 76%-77% of the votes came from the Malays.
No, ‘May 13 Version 2’ can’t happen. The Malays do not feel that the non-Malays have taken over this country and have relegated them to second-class citizens. The Malays in Penang love their Chinese Chief Minister just like the Indians and Chinese in Perak love their PAS Menteri Besar. Malays in white skull caps wear DAP T-shirts. Indian-Hindu activists wear PAS T-shirts while screaming “Makkal Sakhti” followed by “Allah Akbar”.“What about the army?” many concerned non-Malays ask. “Would they not be a cause for concern?” The nine Rulers are the Colonels-in-Chief of the Navy, Air Force, Infantry, Commandoes, Artillery, Malay Regiment, Engineering Corps, etc., while His Majesty the Agong is Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. No, the military will not take to the streets and murder innocent civilians unless their Commanders tell them to do so. And the nine Rulers and His Majesty the Agong are not about to give that order under any circumstances.
Nevertheless, while Umno may not have the three million members it claims to have and while the military is not about to go on a rampage, we must not discount the possibility that certain irresponsible people who are frustrated that they are no longer in power may attempt to trigger race riots. And Anwar must guard against this. And if it is necessary to delay the takeover a couple more weeks or so just to ensure that these elements can be dealt with before they start their evil deeds then so be it. A delay of one month is no big deal if this can guarantee peace and stability.
This is all Malaysians ask from Anwar and nothing more than that. Guard against anything untoward happening. Only when the coast is clear should you make your move. There should be no bloodshed and loss of life. And ask the Malays in the opposition to come out in defence of their non-Malay brothers and sisters and warn the Umno Malays, in no uncertain terms, that they take to the streets at the risk of facing fellow Malays from the opposition who will defend their non-Malay brethren to the last drop of their blood. I, for one, am ready to stand by my Chinese and Indian comrades.
So let Umno be warned.

Christians cower from Hindu backlash in Orissa
TIKABALI, India (Reuters) - On a starry night last week, as Lal Mohan Digal prepared to go to bed, a mob of raging, machete-wielding Hindu zealots appeared above the hills of his mud house and swarmed over this bucolic hamlet in Orissa.
By dawn, Christian homes in the village were smoking heaps of burnt mud and concrete shells. Churches were razed, their wooden doors and windows stripped off.
We could hear them come shouting 'Jai Shri Ram'," Digal said, referring to the rallying cry of Hindus hailing their warrior-god. The mob poured kerosene on the thatched rooftops of the village homes, then threw matches. Church spires were hacked down.
The Hindu part of the village was untouched. For four days Digal and his stricken Christian neighbours hid in the teak forests, before being herded to a government-run relief camp. The violence replicated itself in village after village, as the rural Kandhamal district of Orissa convulsed from some of the worst anti-Christian attacks in India.
At least 16 people, mostly Christians were killed, churches destroyed and 10,000 Christians were forced to flee their homes as violence spread.
Christians responded with some -- not proportionate -- violence. Almost all the villages Reuters visited bore evidence of attacks on Christians.
Relief shelters were packed with Christian refugees, most of them women and children as their men folk were too scared to emerge from forest hideouts. At one temporary camp in Raikia village, some 8,000 people crammed into two floors of a government office, sleeping on the bare floor and surviving on rice and lentils given twice a day.
"It was the hate campaigns of the Sangh Parivar which led to untold misery for Christians," said Sam Paul of the All-India Christian Council, referring to an apex body of Hindu radicals.
There has not been a long tradition of rivalry between Hindus and Christians, who form less than three percent of officially secular India's 1.1-billion population.
On the contrary, the missionaries have a reputation of running some of the finest schools in India. Intolerance has risen, though, in the last two decades with a revival in Hindu nationalism in India, and a new agenda to fight "foreign faiths" said to be undermining Hinduism.
With political power, Hindu nationalists in several states have made religious conversion either unlawful or extremely difficult.
Orissa has seen some of the worst violence against Christians. "There is an atmosphere of fear," said Krishan Kumar, the chief administrator of Kandhamal, a land dominated by "Adivasis" or traditionally animist forest-dwellers where Christian proselytisers arrived on horseback more than a century ago.

Thousands Homeless After Hindu-Christian Violence in India
NEW DELHI — At least 3,000 people, most of them Christians, are living in government-run relief camps after days of Christian-versus-Hindu violence in the Kandhamal district of Orissa State in eastern India, government officials said.
The government said that in addition large numbers of people were living in the open jungle, without any shelter and security, because of the tensions that erupted in violence after a Hindu leader was killed on Saturday and at least 10 Christians were killed in retaliation.Christian community leaders said that at least 1,000 Christian homes had been set on fire since Monday and more than 5,000 people were homeless... ... 90 places of worship, including small churches and prayer halls, were burned down. District officials said the figure was about 20.The Kandhamal district has a history of communal and ethnic clashes going back for more than 20 years.
The latest violence started on Saturday night when the Hindu leader, Laxmanananda Saraswati, was killed along with four of his followers by unidentified armed men who stormed a Hindu school in Kandhamal. The police suspected that Maoist rebels, active in the area, were responsible. But Hindus put the blame for the killings on Christians.
In the retaliatory violence, at least 10 people, most of them Christians, have been killed and 500 houses burned. All nine towns in the district are under curfew with shoot-at-sight orders. At least two people have died in the retaliatory violence in other districts of Orissa, including a woman who died when an orphanage was burned down.“We are supposed to take drastic action against whosoever indulges in violence” said R.P. Koche, the district chief of police. The local police force has been reinforced by 2,500 paramilitary troops, he said. The district magistrate, Dr. Krishna Kumar, said the situation was tense but under control and more then 200 people had been arrested.

India Hindu Militants "Force" Orissa Christians To Convert "At Gunpoint"
By Stefan J. Bos
NEW DELHI, INDIA (BosNewsLife) -- Hindu militants have "forced" Christian families to "convert" to Hinduism and threatened to resume attacks against Christians in the eastern Indian state of Orissa, where up to nine people were killed in religious clashes last month... ...some 15 families in Orissa's tense Kandhamal District were "forcibly converted" in recent days "at gunpoint". Militants allegedly painted a Hindu sign "on the forehead of Christian tribal ladies" in Usurukupa village, while "feeding them goat blood mixed with raw rice" as part of the traditional "homecoming" Hindu ritual, the GCIC said... ...last week, shouting anti-Christian slogans and threatening to launch new attacks against Christians "till all of them convert to Hinduism." Police did not intervene, GCIC investigators said. VHP and other Hindu activists have also demanded that Christians apologize for the death of Hindu Khageswar Mallick, which they claim sparked the outbreak of violence on Christmas eve.
Christians deny any wrongdoing, saying Mallick fell down from a Church tower, while trying to damage the cross at an Orissa church. Hindu groups have also boycotted peace talks, backed by government officials, to end the crisis, despite reports that hundreds of families in Orissa remain homeless following the recent violence. Advocacy group All India Christian Council (AICC) has expressed concern the stand-off could lead to revenge attacks by some Christians. ...
...In Haryana some 100 supporters of the Hindu hard-line Bajrang Dal group apparently beat seven Christians and vandalized their house church on January 1 in Jind district. Compass Direct News quoted the Christian Legal Association (CLA) as saying the militants "stormed" a New Year’s worship service of independent pastor Ashish John, which was attended by at least 20 Christians. Fearing for their lives, the Christians reportedly ran away as the attackers continued to damage church property. Police allegedly did not register the complaint, but it was difficult to get independent confirmation. Rights groups have linked the violence to concern among Hindu groups over the spread of Christianity in India, a predominantly Hindu nation.

Why do I choose to help Siao Guai Guai?
He's a stray, yes. Mongrel, yes. So? FAVOURITISM is BAD. Downgrading. Shall you fall sick one day, go to a hospital, at the counter you heard the people around you criticizing, "Hey... you're just an XX race.. no need treatment one la.. if you're AA race only you come to this hospital ma.." What would you wish the dr to say? Do you wish him to say the same too? Do you want him to look at the colour of your skin, or do you wish him to treat you as a human being with a life?
So do I. I see dogs as lives. I don't look at their hair coat. I don't look at their breed, whoever they belong to, beautiful or ugly, only one thing mattered - their life.
Watching him caught by the dog catcher and let him die in the compound? I won't allow that to happen if I have the capacity to. I don't have to explain why I wanted so much to help him. "Why don't you go rescue all the dogs on the street? There are thousands of them.. go rescue la." If I have the capacity to rescue all the dogs on the streets, that's what I'm going to do.
My friend, does God ever need to explain to you why did he choose to bring you the gift of salvation? There are millions more of unsaved souls in the world.. why did he choose you? I'm sure before you received his gift of salvation, you would have rejected him a few or many times. But why did he STILL offer you that gift??
You might as well say, "Why save that one person? Go save the entire world la.. go save the millions or billions la.." That is exactly what God wanted to do, if he has the capacity. But because of his mercy and grace, he gave us men, the right to choose. To choose to accept or reject his gift of salvation. But why did God STILL choose you?? Do you think you're special? Before he chose you, you're a nobody, nothing special.
It is only by his grace that he gave you the gift of salvation - and it is your choice whether you want to accept it or not. God can urge you, but he'll never force you.
It is by the grace which God gave me that I have decided to rehome Siao Guai Guai. I do not have to give any reason for that.
It is all about grace and mercy.

To the dog eaters - you'll love this video.
SOME of us love dogs. Many of them don't.
But some of the many of them don’t just do not love dogs, they kill them.
They slaughter them.
They torture them.
They beat them to death.
They hammer their heads.
They pull out their hearts alive.
They stab them murderously alive.
The dogs bleed to death.
The dogs were boiled alive.
We don’t label ourselves as dog-lovers, when we love and care for only our own dogs. When we couldn’t care less about what goes about in another side of this world, we’re not dog-lovers.
Dog-lovers means, people who genuinely love dogs, regardless of whose dog, which breed, what sizes, they love dogs.
And if you’re a dog-eater, you’ve got no place in my website.
LEAVE ! ! you're not welcomed here. whoever you are.

God, man and Satan
As they grew, Satan was able to influence Cain, but saw that Abel was much like he knew God to be. Remembering that the seed would bruise his head, and perceiving a threat from the seed, perhaps Satan provoked Cain to slay Abel. But even that didn't stop God's plan.
Eve gave birth to Seth, and eventually through Seth came the nation of Israel and ultimately, Jesus.

God, man and Satan
God proclaimed that the seed of Satan will bruise man's heel. If a man has a bruised heel, he will not be able to go as far or as fast as he might. The results of sin have bruised the heel of every man.
Our hair falls out or becomes gray. We get wrinkles and lose our eyesight. Our strength wanes and our minds slow down. From the moment we are born, we head for the grave.
Romans 5:12 says, "...Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men...." This is our bruised heel.

God, man and Satan
It is, first of all, all who are born from Eve- the human race. Satan's attack on the seed of the woman is seen primarily in his attack on all human children. It is easy to see throughout history and today that Satan zealously targets children, seeking their bondage and destruction. The enmity between children and the enemy is especially strong. Children are new and innocent, the "seed of woman".
From the fires of Moloch in Old Testament times, where parents sacrificed newborn babies on the red-hot arms of idols; to present-day war atrocities, abortion, drug addiction, and child pornography; children are under direct attack from Satan.
...to be continued..
