Abandoned baby girl rescued by stray dogs in eastern India

Abandoned baby girl rescued by stray dogs in eastern India

NEW DELHI (AP) - Stray dogs rescued a baby girl abandoned under a mound of mud and leaves in eastern Indian... ...The newborn was discovered when a pack of dogs began barking and alerted villagers to her whereabouts in Narhan, in Bihar state on Sunday... ...She was hidden under mud and dry leaves in a fruit orchard in the village, he said.

Wow.. i'm speechless. COme to think of it - sometimes dogs can be better friends of men than men can ever be. Stray dogs sommore. Thank God that this took place in India.

Had it been in our country, all stray dogs would have been in "Pusat Kurungan Haiwan xxx" (ready to be put to sleep). A headline such as this will NEVER happen in Malaysia i suppose.

Recently i asked a Taiwanese friend of mine, how do their government handle the stray dog issue? Her reply was simple, "There is no issue at all. Unlike Malaysia, very much the opposite, most Taiwanese are dog lovers. they feed stray dogs.. they love stray dogs. . as their own pets... the vets in Taiwanese are weaker - in the sense tat they choose not to put-to-sleep healthy animals..."

I do not know how true this statement was, but it sure created an interest in me to visit Taiwan.

well, be impressed with thailand first. our near neighbour. i've been there for some time - they treat stray dogs as their own. many ppl bring stray dogs to clinics. u see stray dogs loitering around the thai folks on the streets, market, food stalls.. and the folks were just there laughing n chatting as usual. when i saw that how i wished malaysia has tat nature too... the fact usually saddens people.

yea been to Bangkok like twice and I was impressed. Not only in terms of pets but also the place itself. For a "3rd world" country...I daresay the city's pretty good..while it may need some tweaks here n here though. I hope with the new powers in place heer...we can improve better in future...else Bangkok's gonna trample KL very easily.
