Trust in Jesus (God)

"After Jesus crossed over by boat, a large crowd met him at the seaside. One of the meeting-place leaders named Jairus came. When he saw Jesus, he fell to his knees, beside himself as he begged, "My dear daughter is at death's door. Come and lay hands on her so she will get well and live."

Jesus went with him, the whole crowd tagging along, pushing and jostling him." (Mark 5:21-24, MSG) Along the way, Jesus healed a woman who had suffered from a bleeding disorder for twelve long years. Jesus said that her faith made her well. "Daughter, you took a risk of faith, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, lived blessed! Be healed of your plague." (Mark 5:34, MSG) "

While he was still talking, some people came from the leader's house and told him, "Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher any more?" Jesus overheard what they were talking about and said to the leader, "Don't listen to them; just trust me."

There are times when things happen, we're thrown into a mud of confusion - so many people blabbering different "truths", doing different things and we wonder - what am I doing here?

Perhaps this is wat God is telling me today - don't listen to them, just trust in Jesus.

Perhaps that's the best word of comfort I have so far.

And it is so, that God so loved the world he gave his 'only' begotten son...Well, you just have to ask yourself, it has been over 2000 years and still no word. A God that creates the Universe, the Earth, and well, just everything, even 'Love.' This is the deal; Such a powerful and loving God can just stand back from his creation and watch all the suffering, ignorance and mayhem that is common throughout the world and never shows up to reaffirm 'his' existence. Lets do not hold the creator responsible because there is 'Satan' and he too is in hiding, and never shows his face as well. Lets see if I have it all worked out. God is a father but neglects his children, isn't that illegal in man's law? And, also God cannot intervene because he made a pact with Satan whom is an utterly insane psychopath, so God cannot legally make his appearance. It just shows that this 'whole' plan has and is succeeding, "The Grand Deception of the Human Race" "You are more of a God than a fictitious one, at least you are here to talk to. Be careful of your 'faith' investments.

Dear Mammoth, thanks for visiting my site! =)

When in doubt, search the scriptures. Don't ask ourselves, coz we very often do not remember the scripture much. We may remember a few verses... but what about the few hundred thousand others?
The question you posed, "God can just stand back ... and never shows up to reaffirm 'his' existence". How do you want Him to show up? In what form?
Do you know that 2000 years ago God revealed Himself in flesh, and did EVERYONE believe?
If God is real, why doesn't He reveal Himself to us in a manner that should erase any doubt of His existence?
In reality, He has done this many times. Eyewitness accounts of human interaction and conversations with Him have been duly recorded and preserved for us in the Bible. But does such documented testimony satisfy skeptics and scoffers? It never has, and it never will.
If God accepted the challenge of always having to prove His existence, what would it take? Would it have been necessary for Him to personally appear to and perform miracles to every human being ever born? But even that might not be enough to satisfy everyone.

It was not God's idea to remove Himself and be seemingly unapproachable. It was mankind's choice.

From the beginning of human existence God has given people freedom of choice. He allows us to choose whether we will believe in Him, accept the knowledge He reveals to us and obey Him-or not.

God didn't force Adam and Eve to follow His instructions. They freely chose not to. Humanity has felt the repercussions of that fateful decision ever since.

Mankind has consistently chosen to turn away from God's revelation, preferring the way that ultimately leads to curses and death (Proverbs 14:12; 16:25). Nothing has changed. We are faced with the same two choices: Believe God and obey His laws, or disobey.

Centuries after ancient Israel went astray, God did not force Jesus' countrymen to accept Him as the promised Messiah and Son of God. Even in the face of incredible miracles demonstrating His power, most still didn't believe Him. They repeated the response of their forefathers.

Most people like to think they are open-minded, that they wouldn't be antagonistic or prejudiced against the truth. Yet some of those same people who knew of Christ's miracles later shouted for His blood. Jesus pointed out that some were so hardened toward God they wouldn't be persuaded even if someone were raised from the dead (Luke 16:31).

Human nature hasn't changed. The same bias and prejudice remain just as deeply entrenched in our modern era. It's not a pretty thought to consider that a significant part of humanity willingly hardens its thinking against God. Yet it happens (2 Peter 3:5). And the reason is simple to explain. The natural human way of thinking is fundamentally hostile toward God (Romans 8:7). Therefore a mind influenced by that attitude is more than eager to find ways of reasoning around evidence for His existence.
